Bachelor of Arts in Esports

The Bachelor of Arts in Esports is composed of foundation courses in esports; a required internship and senior clinic; and concentrations in communication, business, or computing. The program is designed to prepare students to immediately enter positions in esports and related industries.

Rowan Core


All first-time Freshmen starting in Fall 2018 or after must complete the University Rowan Core Requirements as described in Undergraduate Program Requirements .

Rowan Experience


All students must complete the Rowan Experience requirements as described in Undergraduate Program Requirements .

Program Requirements:


Non-Program Courses: 18 s.h.


Courses in this section cannot be in the Major Department.

Choose a Concentration


Students must take a minimum of 24 credits in one of the following concentrations:

Undergraduate Concentration in Esports Communication  

Undergraduate Concentration in Esports Business

Required Courses - Take the two remaining ESBN courses not taken in the Core: Credits: 6

  • ESBN 03250  Esports Operations and Strategy
  • ESBN 03280  Esports Funding and Financial Management
  • ESBN 03301  Esports Business Development and Sponsorships
  • ESBN 03350  Esports Metrics and Analytics

 

 

Concentration in Esports Computing  - (Must complete at least two of these programs)

Recommended Electives: 39-48 s.h.


Students can use free electives to build an area of expertise or earn a double Major, Minor or Certificate of Undergraduate Study.

Total Required Credits for the Program: 120 s.h.


Students must earn a grade of at least a C minus in each course under Core Requirements and Sequences. C minus or above is required in all prerequisites to other courses.

Students must maintain a 2.0 GPA in their credits of the major, and a 2.0 overall GPA to graduate with a B.A. in Esports. Transfer courses of 300 level or above that correlate with Rowan’s courses will be accepted in the major.
