The Writing, Composition & Rhetoric Certificate of Graduate Study (COGS) for teachers and other writing professionals improves students’ knowledge of contemporary theories, issues, and practices in writing and writing instruction. Students develop their writing abilities by analyzing their own writing and the writing of published professionals. Courses emphasize composition theory, writing assessment, and the role of technology in writing.

Choose three (3) from the following options. Two courses (6 s.h.) must have the subject designation MAWR. Total Required Credits for the Program: 9 s.h.
