The Certificate of Graduate Study (COGS) in Global History is designed to offer students an opportunity to study history on a graduate level for professional or personal development. The courses will familiarize students with relevant primary and scholarly sources as well as up to date historical interpretations and methodologies in the field.
Certificate of Graduate Study in Global History is 12 semester hours. All credits must be in in areas other than United States history.
Students seeking the COGS in Global History will be required to take 4 courses (from the list below) chosen by the student and approved by the graduate coordinator. All courses are 3 semester hours.

Course Offerings:
Students will pick 4 courses (approved by the graduate director) from a list of world history courses. We define world history as outside of United States and western European history. Total Required Credits for the Program: 12 s.h.
