The Public Health & Wellness program will prepare students to understand and address the conditions and behaviors that advance or impede the public’s health. Through rigorous coursework, research experiences, and community engagement, our students will learn to use evidence-based and theory-driven practices to advance the health and well-being of all people in communities, locally, nationally, and globally. Public Health & Wellness graduates will be qualified to enter various professions within public health, government and non-government agencies as well as be able to pursue further graduate study. The B.S. in Public Health & Wellness is in the process of becoming accredited by the Council on Education in Public Health.

Rowan Core: 9 s.h.
All first-time Freshmen must complete the University Rowan Core Literacies. There are six literacies: - Communicative Literacy (COML) - 9 s.h. Satisfied by taking the following three courses:
- Artistic Literacy (ARTL)
- Global Literacy (GLBL)
- Humanistic Literacy (HUML)
- Quantitative Literacy (QNTL)
- Scientific Literacy (SCIL)

Students must satisfy all three Rowan Experience attributes. Credits attached to the courses in this section will apply elsewhere. The attributes are as follows: - Broad-Based Literature Attribute (LIT)
- Writing Intensive Attribute (WI)
- Rowan Seminar Attribute*(RS)
Departments may recommend courses to fulfill these attributes. A complete listing of courses that satisfy these attributes can be found at Undergraduate Program Requirements . *The Rowan Seminar requirement is waived for all students transferring 24 or more approved credits into Rowan University at the time of initial entry. As part of your Public Health & Wellness curriculum, you will select 12 credits from this list of courses below. You can select any of the courses, but note that some may have pre-requisites that you would need to take as part of your course selection. Courses have been divided into themes that some students may wish to pursue. Students may wish to select courses in only one theme and have the possibility of pursuing a concentration, Certificate of Undergraduate Study (CUGS), or minor. Students interested in going this optional route should speak with their Academic Advisor for more information and guidance. Total Required Credits for the Program: 120 s.h.
