The Bachelor of Science in Finance requires the common core of College of Business courses. Courses within the finance major provide students with a broad understanding of financial theory and institutions. The program prepares students for a variety of career opportunities within financial institutions, governmental agencies and private industry. These include financial analysis, cash management, credit analysis, pension and investment fund management, capital budgeting analysis, investment and commercial banking, and securities management.
Students working toward a Bachelor of Science in Finance must maintain a 2.00 grade point average overall as well as a 2.50 grade point average overall in the Business core and finance concentration to graduate.

Rowan Core: 9 s.h.
All first-time Freshmen must complete the University Rowan Core Literacies. There are six literacies: - Communicative Literacy (COML) - 9 s.h. Satisfied by taking the following three courses:
- Artistic Literacy (ARTL)
- Global Literacy (GLBL)
- Humanistic Literacy (HUML)
- Quantitative Literacy (QNTL)
- Scientific Literacy (SCIL)

Students must satisfy all three Rowan Experience attributes. Credits attached to the courses in this section will apply elsewhere. The attributes are as follows: - Broad-Based Literature Attribute (LIT)
- Writing Intensive Attribute (WI)
- Rowan Seminar Attribute*(RS)
Departments may recommend courses to fulfill these attributes. A complete listing of courses that satisfy these attributes can be found at Undergraduate Program Requirements . *The Rowan Seminar requirement is waived for all students transferring 24 or more approved credits into Rowan University at the time of initial entry. Non-Program Courses: 20-21 s.h.
Business Foundational Courses: 27 s.h.
Finance Required Courses: 21 s.h.
Finance Electives: 12 s.h.
Business Elective: 3 s.h
Take any business course excluding ACC 03405. ACC 03150 Intro Bus/Analytics Fin Info can apply as a Business Elective. Free Electives: 27-28 s.h.
Total Credits for the Program: 120 s.h.
