Sociology & Anthropology

The Department of Sociology and Anthropology is the home to a range of academic programs, including Sociology, Anthropology, Human Services, and Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management. Our nationally and internationally recognized faculty conduct research in a variety of areas that inform their teaching and position them as important scholars in their fields of study. Our Human Services degree is no longer accepting new majors, so students interested in this field may want to consider a major in Sociology with an Applied Concentration or a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW).
