SWK 01200 - Introduction to Human Behavior in the Social Environment Credits: 3
This course explores the intersection between the social environment and the development of individuals, families, groups, and communities across the lifespan. Students are introduced to human behavior through the lens of human development, environment, and social context and examine the ways gender, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, race and ethnicity, and disability impact human development. This course is the first part of a two-part Human Behavior in the Social Environment sequence and is only offered in the fall.
