ANTH 02251 - Language & Culture Credits: 3
This course explores the relationship between language and culture through an explicitly anthropological lens. Students will discover how language simultaneously reflects and shapes our thoughts, cultures, and lived experiences. This course begins with the concepts students will need to analyze how language and culture are interrelated and show students how scholars have looked at language and how it shapes culture and communication. At its core, this course will help students to understand how language, culture, and the myriad ways we all communicate play a complicated role in understanding and creating the world around us.
