The Certificate of Undergraduate Study (CUGS) in Professional Development in Geology will reinforce students’ skills with a focus on applications within technical Geoscience careers. It will provide students additional opportunities to build practical and research skills. This CUGS is built around a required course that focuses on careers in the Geosciences and is enhanced by practical application courses.
This CUGS is open to any matriculated BS or BA student in Geology.

Restricted Elective Bank 1: 2- 3 s.h.
Students choose one course from the following list.
Restricted Elective Bank 2: 3 - 4 s.h.
Students choose one course from the following list.
Additional Restricted Electives: 6 - 9 s.h.
Students must take an additional 2-3 courses from Bank # 1 and/or Bank # 2 (6-9 s.h.) to reach a minimum of 12 s.h.
Total Credits Required for the Program: Minimum 12 s.h.
