Master of Arts in Higher Education

The Master of Arts in Higher Education is intended for individuals who wish to pursue administrative and student affairs careers at two- or four-year institutions. Graduates of our program are prepared to support a diverse population of students as they journey through the educational landscape of learning and professional development.

This is a 36-semester hour program which includes a culminating seminar sequence (6 s.h.) in which all students are required to enroll. All students must work closely with the program advisor in determining course selection and the appropriate sequence for course enrollments.

Total Required Credits for the Program: 36 s.h.


Foundation Courses

None

Graduation/Exit, Benchmark, and/or Thesis Requirements

All students are also required to complete a major research project (thesis) or a program evaluation as a part of the culminating sequence of courses.

Minimum Required Grades and Cumulative GPA

The Master of Arts in Higher Education is a Category 3 program.
