Accelerated Dual Degree: Bachelor of Science in Electrical & Computer Engineering, Master of Science in Electrical & Computer Engineering

The Accelerated 4+1 BS/MS Program in Electrical and Computer Engineering permits students to complete the 128 credit BS-ECE and the 30 credit MS-ECE (Track II: Non-Thesis option) in under five years, while keeping coursework at a manageable load and with a modest tuition and fee discount (at prevailing rates).

Accelerated Program Requirements


* Up to 6 credits or 2 Specialized Graduate Program Elective courses could be counted towards the ECE Elective course requirements. Any graduate-level ECE course could be taken, upon the student advisor’s approval, to identify course-work that will provide expertise in the student’s desired field of interest.

Program Requirements


Required Courses: 9 s.h.


  • An approved graduate-level Math course - Math intensive course in Math or ECE dept. (approved by academic advisor) Credits: 3
  • An approved graduate-level Business course (approved by academic advisor)
  • An approved CS or ECE graduate-level course that is computation intensive (approved by academic advisor).

Required Concentration Elective Courses: 21 s.h.


7 approved graduate-level ECE courses. (approved by academic advisor), including the two graduate-level ECE courses used towards B.S. in ECE

Total Required Credits for the Graduate Portion of the Program: 30 s.h.


Total Required Credits for the Entire Accelerated Dual Degree: 158 s.h.
