The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) provides students with diverse avenues for career
advancement. Upon completion, BSW students are ready to enter the workforce with generalist
knowledge, values, and skills to work with diverse populations across a range of settings.
Students will be prepared for roles such as engagement with clients, needs assessment,
outreach, service linkage, and ongoing monitoring in casework or similar positions.
For those who would like to advance further, the BSW degree provides an opportunity to apply
for an accelerated Master of Social Work degree through Advanced Standing. Only applicants
who have earned a 3.0 from an accredited BSW program are eligible for consideration.
