The Certificate of Undergraduate Study (CUGS) in Health Communication helps prepare students for cutting-edge, high impact work in communication sectors that focus on health and medicine, writing to specific health contexts, and integrating a cross-disciplinary approach to health communication contexts. The CUGS stresses hands-on experience and critical analysis to train students for careers in health and science advocacy, doctor-patient communication, public health campaigns, and mass communication of emerging scientific and health issues, trends and policies. The Certificate of Undergraduate Study (CUGS) in Health Communication is a 12-credit program.
