Undergraduate Concentration in Public Policy

The Concentration in Public Policy is for current political science students who want to learn more about and demonstrate their training in applied politics and public policy. This Concentration is for any student within the program and applies to all the subfields of political science. The Concentration in Public Policy will be noted on a student’s transcript. Students who wish to complete the Concentration must fulfill these requirements:

Take three of the following courses: 9 s.h.

POSC 07220 - State and Local Government Credits: 3
POSC 07323 - The Politics of Poverty: Class, Gender, and Race in America Credits: 3
POSC 07385 - Environmental Policy Credits: 3
EDPA 02320 - Public Administration Credits: 3
EDPA 02410 - Public Policy Credits: 3

Take one of the following courses: 3 s.h.

ECON 04210 - Environmental Economics Credits: 3
ECON 04307 - Economic Development M/G Credits: 3
ECON 04345 - Labor Economics Credits: 3
