Undergraduate Concentration in Emergency Management for Public Health Wellness

In the event of an emergency, professionals working in Public Health work intricately with Emergency Management. In these events, Public Health professionals must know Incident Command and have knowledge of safety practices in order to safely preserve the lives of the community members. Students pursuing a concentration in Emergency Management will have insight into both professions and better able to bring these together. In New Jersey we have seen impacts of global warming, wildfires, and terrible hurricanes. Being able to understand the planning side of public health and the foundational intricacies of Emergency Management is needed after such occurrences.
