The Certificate of Undergraduate Study (CUGS) in Pharmaceutical Engineering & Therapeutic Delivery provides a sequence of courses that combines expertise and concepts from various disciplines. This CUGS will provide directed, upper-level coursework in the topical area of Pharmaceutical Engineering & Therapeutic Delivery.

Program Requirements

Required Courses: 6 s.h.

For admittance into the CUGS, students must have completed CHEM 07200 Organic Chemistry I , (4 s.h.) The requirements include four courses:

BME 11474 - Fundamentals of Controlled Release Credits: 3
BME 11450 - Biocompatibility and Immunoengineering Credits: 3

Elective Courses: 6-8 s.h.

CHEM 07492 - Pharmaceutical Chemistry Credits: 3
CHEM 07410 - Medicinal Chemistry Credits: 3
BIOL 22335 - Advanced Genetics Credits: 4
MCB 22450 - Molecular Genetics Credits: 4
Additional electives may be approved by the advisor

Total Required Credits for the Program: 12-14 s.h.

To be awarded the CUGS in Pharmaceutical Engineering & Therapeutic Delivery, students must complete all courses required for the CUGS in Pharmaceutical Engineering & Therapeutic Delivery.
