This minor prepares students to work in existing as well as newer industries and with newer technologies such as start-ups, foundations, not-for-profits, grass-roots organizations, community organizations, business, government, and policy organizations. This minor complements many majors and will prepare students to work in a number of industries. All students will be prepared to understand leadership and organizations, diversity, the design and evaluation of organizational initiatives, and grant acquisition and management. They will also acquire the skills to lead within organizations (and not just from a position of authority); to work with diverse groups; to plan and evaluate organizational initiatives; and to find, evaluate, secure, and manage grants. The minor consists of 18 credit hours.
Students must complete 18 credits hours to satisfy the Minor in Leadership Studies. There are 18 credit hours in the Leadership Core.
