Political Science & Economics

The Department of Political Science & Economics is a vibrant intellectual community promoting scholarly inquiry into how politics and economics advance society through research, teaching, and public service. We offer a range of undergraduate and graduate courses across sub-fields in both Economics and Political Science. Our nationally and internationally recognized faculty conduct research in a variety of areas that inform their teaching and position them as important scholars in their fields of study.

Our graduates go on to become highly successful in their professional fields. Some enter competitively ranked graduate programs, while others go straight into positions in public, private, or non-profit organizations. With degrees in Economics, Political Science, or public policy, our graduates are among the top earners in the liberal arts.
